How tutors use Dolly

Create a class for each student, or one for each group you teach together, and invite each student to their own account by email. Set an assignment from the topics you are covering: an extended-response question with its mark scheme, or a quiz of 5 to 20 questions. Your student answers in Dolly, and the marking and feedback are ready for you to check and send.

Marking that matches the exam

Extended-response questions come with a mark scheme written to the specification, using levels of response or points, at 4, 6 or 8 marks and Foundation or Higher tier. Dolly marks each answer against that scheme and shows how confident it is in every mark, so you know which answers to look at first.

Practice built from each student’s gaps

After marking, Dolly picks out the topics a student found hardest and builds personalised flashcards from them. Students revise in their own app between sessions, and Dolly tracks how they get on.

Reports

Pick the assignments to draw on, and Dolly writes each student’s report: strengths, areas to work on and next steps, with your own comments added. Reports are published to the student’s Dolly account.

Pricing for tutors

The Free plan covers one class of up to 30 students and five assignments a month. If you set up a class for each student, you will need Plus from your second student: £9.99 per user, per month, for unlimited classes and assignments, and up to 500 students.
